Another few weeks remain to visit two exhibitions that have been deemed such a great success by the public that they have been extended to 5 November.
The first is “Da Giotto a Morandi. Tesori d’arte di Fondazioni e Banche italiane” being held at Palazzo Baldeschi in Perugia. The exhibition, curated by the famous art critic Vittorio Sgarbi, brings together about 100 works from collections of Fondazioni e Banche from all over Italy. A rich artistic heritage, in some cases never before exhibited and for the first time open to the public, it offers a new look at seven centuries of the history of art.

The second is “Picasso. La materia e il segno. Ceramica e grafica” at Palazzo della Corgna in Castiglione del Lago. Everyone knows the paintings of the famous master but few are aware that he was also a prolific sculptor and engraver. The exhibition investigates this less-known aspect, welcoming 90 works that include ceramics, engravings and etchings and honouring the great Spanish genius on the centennial of his trip through Italy.
During the extension period, the exhibit will be enhanced by ‘The Barcelona Suite’, a body of five works issued in 1966 by the Picasso Museum of Barcelona under the strict supervision of the artist on the occasion of his 85th birthday.
